DIFFERENT HAIR STYLES

The way you wear your hair can affect the appearance of your features. Your personal style will always be a factor in the hairstyles you choose. The right hairstyle makes the most of your best qualities.

Long styles work with any hair type - straight, wavy, or curly - but looks best if locks are medium-textured or thick. Skip the lengthy look if you have fine hair (it tends to go straggly) or a long, narrow face.

Short hairdos look great with all face shapes. It is best for fine or medium hair that's straight to slightly wavy. If you have curly hair, a lot of it, opt for a longer style - a short cut could look puffy.
Fringes: The length of your fringes influence the appearance of your forehead. Short fringes make the distance between eyebrows and hairline look longer than it is. Long ones make your forehead look shorter and some times wider. Fringes that are long at the temples and curve to a shorter length across your forehead will highlight your eyes and make cheekbones broader.

Partings: Worn straight  down the center add width to your brow. Slightly off-center parts and side parts make your forehead seem  narrower. Low side parts on your head broaden your forehead.

Hair pulled back: This style highlights your jaw line, elongates and thins your neck. Drawing your hair over the top of your ears will make your ears look smaller and closer to your head.

Fullness:  Fullness at the crown tends to make your face look longer. It adds width to your cheeks and brow. Fullness at your jaw line or below will broaden your lower face. Full hair brushed up and away from your face at your temples gives a lift from your face at your temples gives a lift to your cheekbones and makes your eyes look wider.

Ringlets: Wisps of wavy or curly hair that fall from a pulled -up hairstyle  soften the outer edge of your face and add length to your neck. Tendrils can soften the severity of a hair style pulled back from your face.
   TO CREATE CURLS

Wash hair and allow to air-dry until just damp. Starting at your forehead, wrap a two-inch section of hair around your second and third fingers, then slide fingers out and secure loop to scalp with a bobby pin. Proceed in this manner all over head. Either sleep with pin curls in place or leave them on until hair is completely dry. Then undo and tousle tresses with fingers.

For a curl free mane

Comb a styling lotion through damp hair and gather it into a tight, low ponytail at the nape. Twist tail loosely and wrap it around itself, securing ends to scalp with hair pins. Leave in until hair is no longer wet. Undo to reveal twist-free mane. (If your hair is short, follow the above steps, but slick hair back with a wide headband and skip the twist).

Bridal Hairstyles

As a hair stylist my goal is to vision how to design the best possible hair style for my bride. This process begins with analyzing the entire person, using the elements and principles of design with an understanding of how I can enhance my bride’s positive features and minimize negative features. A good designer always visualizes the finished product before beginning a project. As a hair stylist we develop a strong visual understanding of which hair style works best on which face shapes & body types. There are five basic elements of hair design. These are form, space, line, color, and wave pattern.

Every hair style I create for my bride is properly proportioned to body type and correctly balanced to the head & facial features.

The face can be divided into three zones forehead to eyebrows, eyebrows to end of the nose, end of nose to bottom of chin. The most important thing is that we try to create an illusion that each client has the ideal face shape, which is generally recognized as an oval.

Thanks to the modern techniques and hair products and supplies which enable us to create hair design which is most suitable to the bride which make her look beautiful and feel great.

We have wide collections of hair designs, for short hair, medium and long hair, to choose from – to give you your desired dream looks on your wedding day.

All About Cambio Jeans

cambio All About Cambio Jeans

Whether you are seeking classic style Whether you are seeking classic style and washes of jeans or those with a modern touch, there are many styles which are available through the Cambio lines of jeans. Although there are many common washes which can be seen throughout the popular lines of jeans, there are various washes which can cause the jeans to appear classic or even change the look of the jeans to create something modern inspired! For this reason, the jeans are popular with men and women of all ages that are seeking a brand of jeans that they can identify with.

Some of the most popular types of Cambio jeans that are available are those with the darkest wash in skinny styles. Through the skinny styles, it can be easy to take part in the latest of fashion trends which include the jeans being worn in combination with boots, and tucked into the boots. Since skinny jeans are tighter through the bottom of the leg, similar to tapered styles, it can be simple to follow one of the hottest trends through the popular designs in jeans which are available from Cambio Jeans.

Three of the most popular washes which are found through the jeans like, Cambio are stone washed, rinsed – which is the darkest option available for the denim and distressed, which is the lightest of the three washes that are available. Through the jeans, which are nicknamed after popular names of women and men, the styles are versatile and available in a variety of washes. Once you find a fit you like and that suits your body type, you can have it in a variety of washes.

How to Wear Skinny Jeans with Boots

Trend boots JPG
A skinny jean tucked into boots is a trend that has been around for a couple of years, since the introduction of skinny jeans. Throughout the summer season and into fall styles, this is one that is sticking around, as we see designers creating jeans and boots which can be paired perfectly together. Although this style can be hard to pull off – how do you know if you are doing it right? Skinny jeans can be a hard trend to style and therefore, here are some tips that can help you wear your skinny jeans and boots – marching into the fall season looking great –

* When choosing a jean to wear with a boot, be sure that it is a skinny jean and there is not too much excess material throughout the bottom of the jean. This excess material can cause the jean to appear bunched within the boot and lead to a major fashion faux pas.
* Skinny jeans can be worn in a variety of washes, but dark washes are by far the most effective and stylish when it comes to choosing a jean. Through the use of these dark washes, the legs appear slimmer and you can instantly appear ten pounds lighter.
* When choosing the skinny jean, choose denim that has a little give within the fabric. Through the use of this give the individual is able to maintain the jeans easily in comfort while wearing them.
* Choose skinny jeans that are suited for the body type. For example, there are skinny jeans in a low rise, mid rise and even a high rise. Learning which type of jean suits your body type is an effective way to determine which pair of jeans will look best with the outfit that you create.

How to Choose Jeans for Your Body Type

joes jeans front How to Choose Jeans for Your Body Type Denim jeans are a classic look that is available in a wide variety of styles. From wide leg style to skinny jean styles of jeans, low cut to high rise jeans – how do you know which type that you should choose for your body type? For every body type, there are certain types of jeans which can flatter the figure and certain types of jeans which should be avoided. Here are some tips that you can use while dressing your body type to ensure that you look your best while wearing your favorite pair of denim jeans:

For curvy body types, including hourglass figures, it can be helpful to avoid jeans which are too low waisted, as well as skinny jeans. The tapered leg that comes with skinny jeans can cause the figure to become imbalanced appearing and cause the midsection to look larger than it truly is. The best fit for a curvy figure is boot cut jeans, in a dark wash, which can help to flatter the figure. Choose jeans that sit higher on the waist, through the thinnest part of the jeans for the most figure flattering effect.

For those trying to disguise a midsection that they are not confident about, low rise jeans should also be avoided. There is nothing attractive about a waist which hangs over the jeans and therefore choosing a style of denim that is cut higher, or even mid-cut can be an effective way to disguise the midsection and cause the body to appear leaner than it may be.

For people trying to add to the figure, or those with a boyish figure, consider choosing the skinny jean, layered with tops that can add to the figure. Hugging the body in all the right places, the skinny jean can create the appearance of curves, even where there are none.

How to Wear Jeans

Skinny-leg jeans look great on models and celebrities, but can real women pull off this runway look? Sure, if you follow a few guidelines:

* The most slimming look comes from skinny jeans in a dark blue or black wash.
* You don't have to go with skin-tight jeans to get the look of the trend: jeans vary from super-skinny (usually about a 10" leg opening) to a kinder, straight-leg cut (about 14" leg opening).
* One of the key elements for pulling off skinny jeans is to balance it with volume on top including dolman-sleeve tops, bell-sleeve tops or tunics.
* Disguise heavy thighs by wearing a longer, belted tunic over skinny jeans.
* Cover up thick calves by tucking skinny jeans into tall boots.
* Wear heels with skinny jeans for a leg-lengthening look; pointy-toed flats also work.

How to Pull Off The Skinny Jeans Trend

Skinny jeans are those which are worn in a variety of ways and are available in styles that sit low on the hips, as well as styles that sit high on the waist. Through the skinny jeans, the leg is thin and is cut close to the body and the bottoms of the pants are tapered, allowing the jean to remain thin throughout the entire leg, creating curves and accenting parts of the body. Although the skinny jean is available in a variety of washes and colors, people seem to choose dark washes as the most popular type of skinny jean, as they seem to be the most flattering to various body types.

Are there certain body types which are able to pull off the skinny jean better than others? Those with a svelte or boyish figure may pull off the jeans best, but even girls with a little bit of curve can pull off the trend of skinny jeans, depending on what type of clothing and accessories are matched with the jeans. For example, those with curves may choose to accentuate the jeans with a tunic, which is belted around the waist, accentuating an hourglass figure or the thinnest part of the body.

What types of shoes should be worn with skinny jeans? If you are trying to add height to your figure, than you should consider the highest shoes possible to match with the skinny jeans. Stilettos and other thin, high heels work best when styling skinny jeans, as they can be used to create the illusion of a longer leg. Through the design in the heel, which mimics that of the skinny jean, the individual can ensure they are able to pull off the look effectively and cause the legs to appear leaner in the process.

Applying Eyeliner

Eyeliner is used to give shape to the eyes and define them as desired. An important part of eye makeup, it is often used after eyeshadow and before mascara. Eyeliner can be used to add the dramatic touch to your face or soften the look of your eyes and must be used, keeping the color of eyes and the eyeshadow that you use in mind. Brown, navy and charcoal liners look gorgeous on light colored eyes while brown and plum shades are often used to enhance the beauty of dark brown and black eyes. Precise and dramatic strokes can be achieved by using liquid eyeliner while pencil eyeliner is the best to give soft touch to the eyes. To experiment with colors, you can moisten a small flat brush to use dark eyeshadow as eyeliner or a cake liner and the brush must be held as a pen. Pencil eyeliners need to be sharpened before using them.

While applying the eyeliner, tilt your head back slightly and keep your eyes half-open to let you see yourself in the mirror as you are applying the liner. The line must be drawn on the upper lid from the inner side of the eye to the outer side. Let the liner dry before opening your eyes fully. To soften the look of harsh eyeliner, smudge it a little using the brush. Lower lid is lined from outer edge tapering to the inner side of the eye. Liquid liner has to be applied in one smooth stroke while pencil is applied by stroking the area lightly. Too thick eyeliner does not look good so go for thinner lines. Liquid liners need practice and brushed must always be washed with a makeup remover after using them. If your hand is shaky, stand close to the mirror to provide it support from the mirror.

While using a powder shadow as a liner, it is wise to hold a tissue directly beneath your eye to avoid it from getting all over the dace. The best tool to apply eyeliner is the sponge applicator. Liner applied as a series of dashes or dots or short feather-like strokes on the lash line are much easier to control than a solid line. If your lids are oily, you need to prepare it first just like you did for eyeshadow to avoid eyeliner from moving up to the crease area. Kohl pencils are ideally suited for the inner rims of the upper and lower lids and not the eyeliner as it soon smears easily and is also not good for eyes.

Classic traditional eyeliner look can be achieved by determining the thickness and intensity of the eyeliner according to the eyelid area. Larger eyelid area can use thicker and softer eyeliner while smaller eyelid area needs thinner and more intense liner. Since eyeliner is meant to create depth to the eyes and give thickness to the lashes, traditionally you can stick with dark brown, gray or black eyeshadow for the upper lid and softer tan, taupe, chestnut, brown, gray or black shades for the lower lid.

How to Buy Lipstick

  • Go to a store that sells reputed brands. You are likely to find a great selection there. Make sure you have a certain color or shade in mind before you start choosing. If you are looking for browns, then go through their collection of brown shades, and so on.
  • Once you have assorted a few shades out for yourself, open one and lift it up till your mouth. See if it suits your face complexion. Avoid using the lipsticks on lips, hands and palms, as it is very unhygienic. If they have testers, just dab a little on the skin behind your palm and check it in sunlight. There is a lot of difference when you check colors in natural and artificial light.
  • Check the ingredients that have been used. Since you tend to lick your lips often, you tend to swallow lipstick too. So, make sure what goes inside is at least harmless, if not palatable!
  • A good thought would be to go in for two different shades all together. It will favor most of your clothes. Buy a brownish or reddish-brown shade for clothes that are beige, black, green, yellow, etc. Get another shade in maroon, mauve or pink (depending on your skin tone) that will compliment dresses that are in blue, pink, white, etc.
  • Don’t buy a lipstick just because the sales assistant thinks it is good! Trust your instincts and love what you buy. In case your lipstick doesn’t stay for a long time or vanishes fast, consider buying a long lasting one.
  • It is better to go in for matt lipsticks than the glossy ones. They last longer and bleed less and even if you want a shiny look, you can always add some natural gloss after applying the lipstick.

What should you do before you buy?

• Decide on what type of formula would be best for you by questioning yourself  what benefits you want from your lipstick, then search the information about the types of lipstick you want in the cosmetics brands’ websites to check the colors available in the desire types.
• Find the color you love and choose the color which might matches with your mouth or look best on your face. You can read the tips of shades and colors in this websites.
• If there are testers, try and taste the color on your skin before you decide to buy it in order to see hoe it interacts with your skin. Actually, dark or unappealing lipsticks in the tubes might become flattering lipsticks on your lips.

How to apply lipstick?• To outline your natural lip line, apply your lip liner first.Remember that liner should be the same color or a shade slightly lighter than your main lip color.

• For a full-looking mouth, wear lipstick, then daub with a little bit of lightweight concealer on the middle of lips, mixing it outward.
• If you want your lips look smaller, try a few things; highlight other areas of your face, utilize a neutral lipstick color which looks natural, don’t line your lips, and remove the excessive color so there is just a small amount of lipstick left.
• If you purchased lipstick that looked perfect at the time but turned out to be too bright, combine some vaseline or some clear gloss with a little foundation and apply it over the lipstick to soften the color.

Types of Lipstick

When you are looking for lipstick, the best way for choosing the lipstick perfectly matching your lips is to know the different benefits of each lipstick type. Here are many types of lipstick information to help you picking the best one enhancing your beautiful lips.
1. Moisturizing lipsticks

This type of lipsticks is suitable for people who have dry lips because it keep your lips soft. With ingredients like Vitamin E, aloe and glycerin, moisturizing lipsticks nourish and soften your lips.Though it doesn’t long lasting as some other types, it  give you wet and very shiny look.

2. Satin and sheer lipsticks

Because of high containing in oil, satin and sheer lipsticks are also excellence choices for your dry lips. It will make your lips shiny, glossy and keep it moisturized. Satin and sheer lipsticks have a high oil component so they appear darker in the tube than they are on your mouth. However, they are also reapplied many times.

3. Cream lipsticks

Cream lipstick is the good choice for women with small lips. This formula is not shiny as other varieties of lipstick and you may need to apply lip-gloss afterward so that your mouth achieve desire look. It contains more wax than other formulas to help protect lips but may cause them to feel dry and last more shorter amount of time.

4. Pearl/Frosted lipstick

If you are looking for a lipstick which make you stand out in a crowd and keep your mouth sparkle and glisten, frosted lipstick is your best selection. Reflects light and make you feel confident and distinctive in a funky party night.  It is very popular in the past and remains a favorite lipstick for a number of ladies. It may cause your mouth feel heavy, dry and crack, so apply the moisturizing lipstick base before frosted lipstick is very beneficial.

5. Long-wearing and transfer-resistant lipsticks

Long-wearing lipsticks is the perfect products for on-the-go women who don’t have time to apply lipstick frequently. This formula keeps you lips look beautiful from 4to 6 hours while transfer-resistant lipsticks may last 8 or more, unless you are eating something greasy or oily. Both types can make your lips feel dry so you may use the formulas containing moisturizer to balance the dryness.

6. Matte lipstick

Matte lipstick is known for nice and colorful shade but it is flat and not shiny. This formula  perfectly matching with plumper, smoother and younger lips.To keep your mouth moisturized, apply products containing  vitamin E and  aloe.
7. Gloss

Gloss, a favorite lipstick of women with thin and small lips, is a lip enhancer which add a look of shine and lush to your mouths and enhance the dimension of depth. Gloss can be worn alone or with the traditional lipstick.

Choosing Lip Colors

Be careful while choosing the lip color and try it out in a cosmetic salon first and let them assist you in your color choices. For women with large lips, muted colors such as purples, browns and bronzes are the best choices while women with thinner lips should use light colors. Wine, berry, cappuccino and mauve colors suit light blondes best while coral, apricot and shades of peach are suitable for blondes  that have a golden hue. Warm peach, brown and terracotta shades are for blondes that sport olive skin tones. Redheads may use warm colors such as shades of terracotta, cinnamon and peachy brown while shades such as terracotta, cinnamon and reds with hints of brown are the most suited colors for brunettes.

Make your lipstick smudge resistant and matte by blotting the excess color on lips using one sheet of two-ply tissue, reapplying the lipstick and blotting it again to absorb the excess oils. Mature women should not use matte lipsticks though, for a little gloss can make their lips appear softer and lip liner will keep the lipstick from melting. In case, the lip color or brush slips from your hands accidentally and stains your clothes, apply the glycerine on the area and rub it gently, before washing it as usual. For an instant makeover, try a pink creamy blush to add rosy ness to your cheeks and lids and use plump shade on your lips and you are ready to flaunt your beauty.

A clear lip balm is the best thing for everyday use while sheer application of a colored lip gloss on lips, cheeks and eyes looks quite subtle and sexy. Glitter lipsticks and lip glosses are for special events and funky night parties that highlight your lips immensely. There are lip glosses that literally make your lips plumper and appear fuller and much more luscious. A very light film of pink or red lipstick gives you the look of that carefree beauty that every woman yearns for. Become an attention-grabbing vampiress, who is hot and trendy these days, by using a blood red lip liner to make precise lip lines and apply two coats of lipstick of same color, blotting the extra oil in between with the tissue paper.

Lipsticks contain waxes, oils, pigments and emollients that one must pay attention to for a quality product. Wax gives shape and ease of application to the lipstick and often natural beeswax, carnauba wax made from the leaves of Brazilian wax palm trees and candelilla wax processed from the plant of the same name found in Mexico is used for the purpose. Oils and fats such as castor oil, cocoa butter, lanolin, mineral oil, olive oil and petrolatum are used in the manufacture of lipsticks. However, castor oil is the most common ingredient as it forms a shiny film after drying that does not smudge easily. Many lipsticks also offer aloevera, amino acids, collagen, moisturizers, vitamin E and sunscreen to keep your lips soft, moist and protected from the weather conditions.

9 Lipstick Tips

  1. Lip liner should match the lipstick – Oh no you didn’t use black lip liner with pink lipstick! For a natural look, be sure to find a lipliner shade closely matching your lipstick.
  2. Always keep a lip brush handy – Lip brushes help to give a smooth lips and also assist in getting the last bit of lipstick out of the tube.
  3. Getting down to the wire? Mix with a little Vaseline – If you only have a little bit of lipstick left in the tube and it’s not easy to get out, get your lip brush and mix in with petroleum jelly to create a gloss.
  4. Avoid glossy colors if you’re over 40- Creamier colors make women over 40 look more natural and younger. Plus older lips need more moisture.
  5. “Orange” shades make teeth look yellow – Not too many women can pull off an orange shade anyway.
  6. Don’t like that shade of lipstick? Try it as a blush – A color not working on lips might do well on cheeks. A little dab will do you though, too much and you’ll look clownish.
  7. Still Don’t like the shade? Try blending with other shades – There’s nothing worse than buying a shade of lipstick, taking it home and finding out it looks awful. If you don’t like a particular shade, try blending with other colors for a more suitable match.
  8. Lipsticks last longer when stored in the refrigerator – I’m sure my husband would love it if I started storing makeup in the fridge, but yeah, it works.
  9. Keep your lipstick color lasting
You may put a dab of foundation on your lips before applying lipstick. But some people don't really like the gloppy look of lip color resulted. A sheer swipe of eyelid primer is preferred instead to keep your lipstick staying on longer. You may neutralize your natural lip color with a a small amount of base prior to your lipstick application too. Natural and contemporary look of lips is expected.

Designer Bags

If you have a sense of style and love to match accessories with what you wear, you can be a bag designer, says Purnima Goswami Sharma

bag designEarlier, if one was creatively inclined in India, one could work only as a fashion or jewelry designer. But now, you can make a career as a bag/ purse designer. Bags and purses are a status symbol of today, accessories that complement ones’ personality and so bags designers have good career opportunities as there is more demand for stylish bags.

Skills needed

Meera Mahadevia, the well known designer whose creations are sold in international fashion capitals says, "To be a bag designer one must possess knowledge of designing, stitching, fabrics, visual imagination, creative skills, a sense of colour and an eye for detail. Although most young people see designing as a glamorous profession, it involves hard work."
Gift Bags & Embroidery Designer Bags

"However, the most desirable skills are sketching and product visualisation, pattern cutting. This gets aided by a variety of other skills like knowledge of metalwork, embroidery and embellishment techniques," says Meera a qualified textile designer who has also studied Indian aesthetics.

"Design, pattern-making, fabric and construction are the four elements of bag making. A sense of design and colour is essential and some knowledge on material would be an additional benefit. Anybody who starts off with a basic degree in fashion could be well equipped to understand the aesthetics of bag making. It's all about coordinating the accessory to the overall look and hence aesthetics is key," says Bhumika Agarwal lead designer with 'Baggit'. "There are both basic and advanced methods of pattern making. Having an idea of the various kinds of stitches, appliqu├ęs and patterns could be a distinct advantage," adds Agarwal.

"Just be original, innovative and unique with designs and creations and ensure that each piece is perfect. Never compromise on finesse. If your end product is good then it will definitely sell. So always aim for perfection. As a designer, you need to continuously upgrade your skills. Excellent communication skills are needed to ensure that ideas are interpreted correctly. One has to constantly keep coming up with new ideas," states Mahadevia whose bags have been showcased in 'The Newark Museum Newark, USA'. One must always stay in touch not only with trends, but also with apparel and fabric markets, in order to react and create pieces that complement the new styles in the market.

"A degree or a diploma is always useful for any field as it helps you to channel your development with easily attainable objective, wherein you also have sufficient professional guidance. However, sadly there are no certified courses in India on bag making specifically" says Mahadevia.

Challenges

"One bag is a necessity, while a bag for each occasion is indulgence. A bag designer has to understand the specific necessity that the bag caters to; the specific occasion its being made for; understand all commercials aspects involved and create a masterpiece.

There are many brands and unorganised players entering this category; therefore there is huge competition. At the same time there is huge demand as well. This definitely increases the pressure on designers to attract a share of spend towards their brand," says Nina Lekhi, MD, Baggit.

Scope

One can also opt for a regular fashion or textile designing course and take up accessory designing as a career. Initially you may have to work under someone to gain experience, before starting out on your own. Today, owning an accessory line is probably one of the most favorable moves to become a part of the flourishing and rapidly growing fashion industry.

Lekhi says, "Bag designers can of course start boutique labels of their own or associate with brand like ours. International brands are also looking for bag designers. An established bag designer can also move on to related fields like purchase and visual merchandising as they understand what sells and how it should be displayed."
