Types of Teej Festival

According to legend, this day celebrates the union ceremony of Lord Shiva and his consort, Goddess Parvati. While he really loved her, he didn't know she existed. In this narrative, all women focus on the well-being of their husbands - their husbands. Apart from prayer, women give special importance to 'shringar' or make-up. They try hard to look beautiful by wearing new clothes, wearing jewelry and adorning themselves with bangles and mehendi on their hands. They also wear a bindi on their forehead. The idol of Parvati is similarly dressed. The fast is usually broken after the woman has taken a bath and finished the evening prayer.
