Onam Festival Onam is one of the most popular festivals in Kerala. There are so many traditions and cultural practices involved with this great festival. This festival is celebrated as harvest festival with great enthusiasm where there are exciting boat races, all flower decorations called pookolams, mouth watering party called Onasadya, Mundu saree or kerala sari dressed women dancing thiruvathirakali and fierce men depicting the dramatic kathakali dance, Onam is nothing short of an extravagant festival.
