Auspicious time of Mahashivratri 

The festival of Mahashivratri is on 8 March 2024 and it is auspicious to worship Lord Shiva during Nishita period. It is believed that Lord Shiva is worshiped in four Prahars. The first hour is from 6:25 in the morning to 9:28 in the night. The second hour is from 9:28 pm to 12:31 pm. The third hour lasts from around 12 midnight to 3 am.
