Dressed in white or yellow (translates calmness or knowledge), this Devi Maa is celebrated as the Goddess of learning, art and music. The iconography shows him given four hands which represent manas (mind), buddhi (skill), chitta (creativity), and ahamkara (consciousness or ego). 

She holds the Veda in his left hand and a japmala (rosary) or peacock feather in his right hand. Seated on a white lotus full of flowers, Goddess Saraswati plays the Veena.
