A journal is a place to write down your personal experiences. Keeping a journal can be beneficial, even if you're not interested in becoming a writer. If you speak to its pages with truth and emotion, it becomes the most amazing memory possible: a record of your life.
When you introduce your child to the outside world by sending him to a play school or primary school, the first two things he learns to focus on -
How to read & How to write
These two habits are enough to count a person in the "literate category". The playgroup age usually starts when a child is between 3-7 years old. Right now, all they want is to eat, play, sleep, and so on. This is probably the most carefree age and a child deserves to enjoy it to the fullest. Parents often worry about their children's growth when they start school. They start worrying about grades and so on and no one can blame them like any parent. They want their children to be the best of all, to conform to such standards. Make a separate diary for your child, especially if there are pictures of their favorite pictures or cartoons, or anything that catches their attention.
Tell your child the importance of journaling and why you are writing it, how they can create better handwriting etc with the help of peers.
Create a suspenseful environment for them, something they look forward to in their day, such as setting up an appointment only once or twice in 24 hours to get their journal for a certain period .
Given the age of children, they don't deserve to be under pressure to prove themselves to be the best, yet they can still stand out from the crowd without pressure.
Include your child's needs in their needs.
Educational Benefits of Journaling for Kids and Some Tips for Parents
Journaling benefits children in many ways - from improving from handwriting to stress relief.
You can help encourage healthy habits by keeping a daily journal for your child. Simply use the following journal writing tips especially for kids. Here are some tips to encourage your child to keep a journal.
1
1. Give your child a journal. Having your own notebook to write in is a source of great joy.
2. Let them know the book written in the diary style. Two of the most popular are The Diary of a Wimpy Kid and the Tom Gates diaries series. If your child is older, they can try The Diary of Anne Frank but it has some disturbing themes so you want to make sure your child can handle it.
3. In the same spirit as getting a blank notebook dedicated to journaling, you can give them a selection of materials so they can try different methods.
4. They don't have to write every day. If they manage a couple of sentences or even a few words, that's enough. The graphics are great too!
5. If your child needs support with his writing, he can write down his thoughts. They can use various applications like PowerPoint and enjoy setting up some products.
6. It's hard but ... forgive the spelling mistakes. It's your child's diary and everything goes. You need to stick to the fact that your child is writing and that is the most important achievement.
7. And, in any case, this journal should remain private. If you are not concerned about your child's health, you should resist the temptation to have a top.
8. Do you keep a diary? If not, why not start too? If your child sees you writing, he may want to do the same.
9. Sometimes, your child may need to tweet: they can write about something funny that happened during the day, something they heard or saw, food or a TV show. No matter what!
10. Starting a journal is the easy part. Making it a habit is harder. You can help your child search through a list of ideas that might interest him.
